Parent or Guardian:
Is your teen 16 years old or turning 16 before August 2nd, 2023? If so, they will need proof of a booster to the meningococcal vaccination (MCV4) before being allowed to attend school in August.
If your teen is already 16 years old, it is strongly recommended that you contact your healthcare provider or the Bryan County Health Department before the Summer rush.
This MCV4 booster is only given at the age of 16 or after. If your teen has a Summer birthday, please make arrangements to ensure that they are ready to start school on August 2nd.
Meningococcal disease is a serious bacterial illness that affects the brain and causes shock, coma and death within hours of the first symptoms. Georgia law requires students be vaccinated against this disease.
Please submit a Certificate of Immunization (Georgia Department of Public Health Form 3231) to the school clinic prior to August 2nd.
