Bryan County Schools, the county’s local education agency (LEA), invites parents and community members to participate in a Consolidated LEA improvement Plan (CLIP) Review/Revision meeting on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 4:30pm. The meeting will be held in the Board Room of the Bryan County Board of Education at 8810 US Highway 280 East, Black Creek, GA 31308. The CLIP integrates requirements for planning across all Elementary and Secondary Education (ESEA) Act programs and the State’s Professional Learning Program, and it eliminates the need for LEAs to submit separate plans for individual programs. The CLIP has three major components: (1) ESEA and Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Descriptors, (2) System Profile, and (3) LEA implementation Plan. The CLIP must be approved in order to receive funding from state and federal programs. This meeting will also be an opportunity to review the district Title 1 Parent and Family Engagement Plan and individual school plans will be available for review. Parents and stakeholders are encouraged to view these plans and offer feedback and suggestions.
